Help Lines Near Bear Claw Casino
In Saskatchewan the first step is one helpline, free and confidential, that trained counsellors staff for all 24 hours of each day. After that call, the path leads to free counselling and to self-exclusion programs that cover each casino in the province.

Spec 01
Three contacts to keep
- Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline: 1-800-306-6789. Trained counsellors answer it 24 hours a day, and calls are free and confidential.
- The Saskatchewan Health Authority offers problem-gambling counselling at no cost to people living in Saskatchewan. A doctor's referral is not required to start.
- Fort Qu'Appelle is home to the White Raven Healing Centre of File Hills Qu'Appelle, which SIGA lists for First Nations treatment; call toll-free at 1-866-748-8922.
Spec 02
A break from all nine casinos
A visitor to Bear Claw north of Carlyle can request SIGA Voluntary Self-Exclusion, just as at any SIGA casino. The person then chooses how long it lasts: no less than 6 months, no more than 5 years. For its full length, all nine Saskatchewan casinos turn the person away, whether SIGA runs them or not. SaskGaming's Game Break is a second program; it covers the province's casinos and PlayNow.com as well.
A private online site falls outside both programs, and a self-exclusion signed at a casino does not extend to such sites either. Age is a separate barrier. Saskatchewan sets 19 as its legal gambling age. At SIGA casinos, a person below 19 is treated as a prohibited individual, unable to gamble or to collect winnings.
Spec 03
Time and money, decided in advance
Before the evening begins, two numbers deserve a fixed value: the hours to stay and the money to spend. Whichever runs out first ends the night, even if the other still has some left. Noting both on paper before leaving home makes them harder to stretch later. The Bear Claw floor closes at midnight every day, a firm end point for anyone arriving in the afternoon or after dinner. If a limit grows hard to keep, a call to 1-800-306-6789 reaches the Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline at any hour.
