Checking the Bear Claw Facts
Every number in this guide comes from a checked source, and this page names those sources and the method behind the distances. It is signed collectively by the Moose Mountain field desk, the editors of this independent guide, with no personal byline.

Spec 01
Sources behind each spec
Details on Bear Claw Casino & Hotel are drawn from bearclawcasino.ca, the casino's own pages, and from SIGA, its operator. That is where the hours, rooms, RV lot rules and restaurant times originate. Saskatchewan rules, including the gambling age of 19 and the status of PlayNow.com, are taken from provincial government, SLGA and LGS pages. OpenStreetMap supplies the park outline and each town's map points.
Every fact was checked on October 10, 2026. Shows, menu prices and room rates are left out on purpose, because they change and a field kit should not date quickly. The guide itself is not the casino, not SIGA and not the casino's website, and it takes no bets.
Spec 02
Straight lines on the map
The Moose Mountain field desk measures each distance as a straight segment joining two sets of OpenStreetMap coordinates. Town distances are taken the same way, from the casino or from the park edge. For Moose Mountain Provincial Park, the line ends at the closest point of the mapped boundary rather than the centre. Measured from the casino, that closest edge lies 3.2 km west. Bear Claw itself sits outside the park boundary.
Roads bend and are longer than these lines. For that reason the guide gives no driving times at all. All times in the guide are Saskatchewan time. The province keeps Central Standard Time all year, and the clocks do not change.
Spec 03
Pictures, Ad links and privacy
Every image here is image-generator output, not a photograph. Two depict the real Bear Claw Casino & Hotel, each generated from a real photograph seen from a slightly different spot at another hour. Subjects: the hotel wing and HOTEL porch after dark, and the main entrance under its sign on a summer morning. Trip gear, the parkland trail, the RV lot and the gravel road toward the hills are generated without any real model. No people appear in any picture.
On the Carlyle Casino Field Kit, three paid links labelled Ad live solely on the home page. They sit in the header, beneath the opening screen and by the page's lower edge, and all three reach one partner. That partner, a private online casino open to later replacement, pays the Moose Mountain field desk a commission for visits sent there. Links in the kit for Bear Claw, SIGA, the province and the help lines earn the desk nothing at all. No forms or accounts exist; the theme choice stays in the tab, and a cookie-free counter passes IP address and browser to the statistics service.
FAQ
Questions from the field
What point is the park distance measured to?
Park distances are straight lines to the closest edge of Moose Mountain Provincial Park on the OpenStreetMap outline. That edge sits 3.2 km west of the casino. Since roads wind and run longer, the Carlyle Casino Field Kit offers no driving times.
When did the field desk verify these facts?
These facts were checked by the Moose Mountain field desk on October 10, 2026. Bear Claw posts no holiday hours, so the casino line, 306-577-4577, is where to ask.
